Had a fabulous time last week Miss Money Penny was an official partner of the Melbourne Spring Fashion festival this year and held a fabulous event at The Longroom in the Georges Building on Collins St, Melbourne.

As part of Melbourne Spring Fashion week, Makeovers, Manicures and Martinis and Miss Money Penny teamed up to create a luxury shopping event that combined mini pampering treatments with a personal styling session and an elegant showing of hand-picked pre owned designer items. 

Customers forgot about getting all hot and bothered wading through Op shops, markets and Ebay to get a great designer find. They sipped bubbles, and Miss Money Penny put together a salon style showing of top end pre loved designer pieces whilst the team from Makeovers, Manicures and Martinis treated them to a manicure, massage and make-up consultation. They also received a styling consultation courtesy of Bronwyn Fraser from the Style Establishment.

This is the smartest, fastest and most relaxing way to shop for items that are Brand New With Tags (BNWT), Just Slipped On or Vintage Designer fashion; for a fraction of the retail price. Shoppers liked what they saw and purchased items after the show.  Even if they didn’t find something they’d like to buy they left refreshed and revived from pampering treatments and were full of ideas for new ways to wear items already in their wardrobes.

Guest were treated to bubbly, canapés, a salon style showing of key pieces from the Miss Money Penny range, a 'Hit the town Makeover' - A make up consultation using mineral cosmetics that are vegan certified, a tension buster massage, express Manicure, and a Style Establishment Mini Consultation with leading image consultant and personal stylist Bronwyn Fraser.

Tickled pink to be announced as a finalist in the 'Connect2mums AusMumpreneur Awards' in the ‘Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year!’ category! I'll be jetting up to Brisbane for the gala event on saturday night - so wish me luck! Many worthy contenders I am up against!

Miss Money Penny's Second-hand Fashion Emporium can be a bit of a misnomer sometimes. Much of our divine designer fashion and accessories are actually brand new and never worn - otherwise you'll find the items are just slipped on / worn once amazing fashion gems. You see, many of our sellers are fabulously fashionable women who work in the fashion media, as sylists, in fashion businesses, PR or advertising. Many also attend many events and only ever want to bee seen in the same thing once - that's where we come in.

It's a win for the fashionistas who can sell their high end designer items in a chic environment without trashing through the clutter or having to set up camp at a swap or market. The savvy fashion buyer gets brand new or near new high end designer items (or really hot High St fashion) at a fraction of the retail price - often current season items still for sale in the shops for literally hunders of dollars more. Considering things are tried on in shops anyway, why would anyone in their right might pay full retail for it without checking in here first.
